Lindblad Expeditions

COVID Protocols Videos

BRIEFING

We were approached by a production company we had previously worked with to create informational videos for Lindblad Expeditions, a VIP cruise company partnered with National Geographic. As their cruises resumed after COVID-19, Lindblad needed clear, engaging videos to communicate COVID guidelines to guests, ensuring safety while maintaining the high-end experience expected on their journey.

CHALLENGES

  • Conveying detailed COVID procedures in an engaging way to avoid overwhelming or boring the audience.

  • Ensuring the videos were visually appealing and consistent with the Lindblad and National Geographic brand identities.

  • Using the opportunity to not only inform guests about procedures but also build excitement for their upcoming adventure.

SOLUTION

  • Created a Hero film that condensed all key information into an engaging and concise narrative, along with four shorter videos focusing on specific topics, such as staff safety measures, onboarding procedures, and pre-trip preparation.

  • Incorporated animations and motion graphics to enhance clarity and showcase the unique, thrilling experiences awaiting the guests.

  • Crafted a film that remained engaging throughout its more than 3-minute runtime without dragging.

OUTCOME

The videos were a success, with Lindblad and the production company praising their clarity and impact. Guests found the videos both informative and exciting, setting the stage for their journey. Following the project, we were immediately commissioned by the production company to create onboard safety guideline videos for Lindblad cruises. This marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration with the production company, who has remained a recurring client for years.


Cancer Research UK & The Kennel Club

Animated TVC

BRIEFING

We were commissioned to create an animated TV advert for Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK in partnership with The Kennel Club. The campaign, aired on Channel 4, encouraged people to sign up for a unique challenge: walking their dogs at least two miles a day during April to raise funds for cancer research.

CHALLENGES

  • Designing and animating three distinct characters and their dogs to resonate emotionally with the audience.

  • Developing an engaging narrative that effectively communicated the campaign message.

  • Delivering a polished animation that met Channel 4’s broadcast standards.

SOLUTION

  • Managed the entire pre-production and production process, including designing a cohesive colour palette, creating mock-ups, style frames, and researching animation techniques to align with the campaign’s goals.

  • Storyboarded the narrative, following three characters as they walked their dogs and eventually met in a park.

  • Executed the animation and editing to deliver a high-quality, visually appealing final product.

OUTCOME

The advert aired to millions on Channel 4, effectively driving engagement and inspiring thousands to sign up for the challenge. The campaign's success led to it being repeated the following year, further solidifying the impact of this creative collaboration.


Sihot

Explainer Video for Hospitality Software  

BRIEFING

We partnered with Sihot, a leading European Hotel Management software, to create a compelling explainer video. Based in Germany, Sihot is one of the top three companies in their industry, serving countless hotels across Europe. The project aimed to highlight their expertise and long-term value compared to newer, seemingly cheaper competitors.

CHALLENGES

  • Crafting a clear and persuasive script to convey the value of Sihot’s services while addressing misconceptions about cheaper alternatives.  

  • Managing the full production process, including scriptwriting, voiceover, music, and animation, without an external agency.  

  • Ensuring the video resonated with diverse audiences across events, digital platforms, and presentations.

SOLUTION

  • Collaborated directly with Sihot to refine the script, asking targeted questions and iterating over several weeks to ensure clarity and impact.  

  • Designed cohesive style frames, mockups, and storyboards to align with Sihot’s brand identity and goals.  

  • Produced a high-quality animation with engaging visuals and professional voiceover and music, tailored to the hospitality industry’s tone and audience. 

OUTCOME

The video was fit for purpose and well-received, meeting Sihot’s objectives and elevating their presence at industry events. Both the client and other companies in attendance praised its quality and effectiveness. The project reinforced Sihot’s reputation as a trusted leader in their field.
